Care Connection Counseling

care_connectionAs we prepare to move forward into a life of Gospel Community, we are reminded of Hebrews 13:20-21, “May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God has richly blessed this body with a variety of gifts. We are expected to use our gifts for the edification of the church body, and ultimately for His glory. However, when the church ignores the condition of the soul, it requires believers to become good actors. Christians often times experience loneliness, anger, resentment or a myriad of other unresolved issues.

For that reason, we are introducing Care Connection; a soul-care ministry to assist the sanctification/transformation process in a safe environment where the broken and struggling are given grace, truth, and time to discover, heal and grow. Heather Campos will be utilizing her gift of counsel and sharing with us her ideas and instructions for lay counseling.

Kid’s Connection

kids-church-logo1“We’re not babysitters, we’re teachers!” At Kids Connection we love our kids and believe that the Jesus we teach in the adult services is the same Jesus that we should be teaching in our kids church.  Our kids enjoy praise and worship, games, crafts and solid Bible study every Sunday morning.

Our kids are separated into four classes so that they can get the attention and learning level they need to grow in the Lord.  Nursery is for our youngest ones-18 months, toddlers is 18 months-3 years old,  primary is 3-kindergarten, and kids church is 1st-4th grade.  Our teachers aren’t in the class to babysit during a service but to serve our kids and and see them fall in love with Jesus at an early age! They are each trained to teach the specific age they are serving.  We take the time to do background checks on every volunteer and are working towards having every volunteer CPR trained!

Jesus honored childhood by being born as a baby and we recognize the value that He puts on children throughout the Word so we don’t take Kids Connection Church lightly.  We love and serve our children!

wired-barcodeWired Student Ministries (WSM) is a gathering of young people who desire to know the truth and  relevance of Jesus. Under the direction of Pastor Josh Dailey, and his wife Christy, WSM is going beyond church “as usual”, and building relationships with each other and our community, through our various connection groups during the week, and a monthly Gathered event that is meant to stretch our borders. If you have any questions about who we are or when we meet, please don’t hesitate to contact any of our leaders. Can’t wait to see you at Wired Student Ministries!

Last week about 30 children attended VBS and as you can see from the video it was an amazing time. The kids had so much fun, learned about Jesus and got nice and wet in the 100 degree heat.

I just went to VBS tonight and all I can say is “WOW!” This VBS is the best one I have ever seen in any church I have been a part of. I am so blessed to see Shauntelle and all these leaders rise up and really serve these children. Great job!!! Make sure if you have not taken your children to any of the nights that you pack them up for the next couple nights and take them over to have the time of their lives.
