I have been moved deeply by this sermon for it is true beyod that which is describable in fw words. One point I find is that as is all sin is rooted in idolatry, Idolatry is rooted in human life though selfish human nature. What I mean by this is that as humans who are born into sin we easily find that human nature, animal nature is our first resource. Then through the “Power of the Law of Assosiation” by which we learn almost everything we tend to rely first on that nature. We learn to walk why? We assosiate with our parents actions and therefore imitate walking. We learn to talk how? We hear our closest family talk and imitate that and we learn to talk. Well that law of assosiation is most prevalent in our culture for we see others glorify (idolize) objects, mere material possessions, in our daily lives and we imitate that action. Soon we find ourselves holding those objects above God in our lives because selfishly we want those objects. Therefore through an expression of our pure human nature we have unknowinly committed Idolatry. We must therefore give up our human natures. To be “born again” is to give up your nature to Jesus accepting that you are not perfect, in fact that you are weak with sins, and to start living the way God had first intended for you. When we give up that nature we canlearn to give u the frailties of that nature and that is to put objects before God. Then being humbled we then can focus on something else beside our selfish nature, something better, Jesus, who when we put our focus on him we will be blessed with far more than earthly pleasures. We will be blessed with an eternal life beside him in heaven. That is far more important to me than any rock, tree, building, currancy, job, or person that will ever cross my path and I thank him for giving me the understanding to know this. Amen to everything Aaron had to say to me.
thanks for your must humbling response. Amazing.
